About the Event
General Information: The ARFF Working Group, Boeing Fire Department and the Port of Seattle Fire Department is excited to present this dynamic 3-day workshop that will be held at three (3) different locations throughout the Puget Sound area. It will offer a wealth of knowledge and information related to aircraft construction and familiarization as well as various ARFF related topics and discussions. We promise that you will not be disappointed and will leave with an enhanced knowledge and understanding of aircraft and their functions.
Transportation from the hotel to the Port of Seattle and the Boeing Plants will be provided from the Crown Plaza Hotel only. We encourage you to book your rooms at the Crown Plaza as a special rate has been arranged and a contracted number of rooms has been set.
Proper Clothing: When visiting the Boeing Plants, long pants should be worn. Proper footwear is mandatory. When walking through manufacturing areas (including transportation/pedestrian aisles), wear footwear that is stable and provides reasonable protection from hazards.

If your shoes do not meet these requirements, they are NOT acceptable for walking in the factory.
Meals: A full breakfast buffet is included with the rate (single) at the Crown Plaza Hotel. Lunches will be provided at the Port of Seattle and Boeing Everett Plant. You will be able to purchase your meal at the Boeing Cafeteria in the Renton Plant on the final day.
For those interested, we are looking into purchasing tickets to the Mariner game on Thursday, May 18th, so if you want to attend, please make the appropriate travel arrangements. The host hotel for the 2017 Aircraft Construction & Familiarization Workshop is the Crown Plaza Hotel, 17338 International Blvd. Seattle, WA 98188. A Single/Double** rate of $149 is available through April 28, 2017. All transportation will depart from the Crown Plaza Hotel.
