David Jones is the President of Quantified Design Solutions, and Vice President of Research and development of Newton Design, LLC. He leads cutting edge technology integration and training system design and development programs across commercial and government research and development efforts. Over the past 14 years, he has applied a data driven approach to create adaptive training suites that merge virtual, mixed reality, computer-based, mobile and physical training systems to optimize return on investment and increase training effectiveness. The core of his approach to training is to record and leverage detailed student performance data that allow training programs to be customized to student performance. David has led advanced research efforts for the Department of Defense, DARPA, commercial clients, airlines, and universities, has published over 50 peer reviewed articles/ conference presentations and presented his work at international conferences. He led a team that developed the Cabin Crew Virtual Readiness training suite, that has been used by American Airlines to reduce student errors from 36% to 4%. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Factors Psychology from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Master of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
