Jon Murden began his career as a Flight Attendant with ValuJet Airlines in 1995. In 1998, he started as a Flight Attendant with American. Throughout his career, he has held a variety of positions at American including Flight Service Manager, Instructor, Purser Program Manager and Project Manager. As the Manager of Strategy and Operations, Jon’s main role is to support the Flight Service Standards and Training Managers in identifying future strategies and how to move the organization forward. In addition, he spends a great deal of time managing the departments overall business model. A large part of Jon’s job is to introduce new technology to training, refurbish and purchase new trainers for training, as well as innovate how we train our Flight Attendants. Jon holds his BS in Finance from the University of Tampa, as well as an MBA with an emphasis in Finance from Capella University. He will begin his studies towards a Doctorate of Business Administration with an emphasis in Strategy from the University of Dallas.
