AVID Riverside County (ARC) Advanced WICOR for Schoolwide Rigor - Elementary
About the Event
This advanced workshop is designed for elementary educators who have previously attended a WICOR or AVID Foundations/Implementation training and are ready to deepen their practice. Participants will explore advanced strategies for integrating ©WICOR (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Reading) into daily instruction across subject areas and grade levels. Through collaborative lesson planning, data reflection, and peer-to-peer learning, educators will refine their ability to design rigorous, student-centered learning experiences that build academic language, critical thinking, and engagement. Emphasis will be placed on developing sustainable schoolwide systems that ensure all students benefit from consistent and intentional use of WICOR strategies. Teachers will leave with practical tools and action plans to elevate classroom instruction and support a college and career ready culture for all learners. This is a two-day workshop. Includes resources and materials. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Audience: Elementary Teachers Cost: Free This workshop is provided at no cost by Riverside County Office of Education for Riverside County public school educators.
