About the Event

The AVID Elementary Implementation: 3–6 Community of Practice engages educators new to AVID by exploring strategies and resources focused on the keys to successful implementation. Educators will gain an understanding of their role in an AVID Schoolwide system and how educator encouragement and monitoring of Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading (WICOR®) strategies build the foundation for what students need for college and career readiness. This is a two-day training. Includes resources and materials. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Audience: New AVID Elementary Teachers and Administrators (Non-AVID Center trained) Cost: Free This meeting is provided at no cost by Riverside County Office of Education for Riverside County public school educators.
