AVID Riverside County (ARC) Elementary Leading with Literacy: AVID Strategies for Disciplinary Literacy
About the Event
This workshop is designed for all elementary educators— to learn how to foster student literacy across all disciplines. Participants will be introduced to multiple strategies and methods that support students in accessing and engaging with rigorous texts specific to their content area. Educators will explore ways to help students process information both collaboratively and independently while promoting academic language development. The focus will be on equipping students to read, speak, write, and think like content experts, regardless of the subject being taught. This is a two-day workshop. Includes resources and materials. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Audience: Elementary Teachers Cost: Free This training is provided at no cost by Riverside County Office of Education for Riverside County public school educators.
