AVID Riverside County (ARC) WICOR for Schoolwide Rigor - Secondary
About the Event
This workshop is open to all content teachers and will focus on the essential AVID strategies needed to promote school-wide AVID and build a common language so that learning is accessible to ALL students. This hands-on learning experience will provide educators with the opportunity to explore various ways to enhance student engagement through the lens of ©WICOR (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Reading). Participants will be introduced to high-impact, research-based instructional strategies that produce the classroom environment needed to promote critical thinking, interdisciplinary reading and writing, and communication skills. Educators will leave with the knowledge and skills necessary to create intentional lesson designs that result in rigorous learning opportunities for every student, every day. *This is a two-consecutive-day workshop. Includes resources and materials. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
