Daniel has a wealth of experience of more than 18 years helping brands make the most out of mobile and multi-screen communications, and is widely recognised as one of the global leaders in the industry. As Global Director of Advertising for Telefonica, he is responsible for managing and accelerating the advertising vertical across the business, covering over 300m consumers in over 30 countries. Leveraging data and advertising technology across mobile, multi-screen and traditional channels. Prior to Telefonica, he was Global CEO of WPP’s mobile agency group, Joule Worldwide. Under his leadership the agency experienced unprecedented organic growth globally as well as making some key strategic acquisitions. Prior to Joule Daniel spent 7 years at Ideas and Innovation agency AKQA. He was the Founder and Head of their global mobile practice, where he was responsible for some of the world’s most notable mobile campaigns for brands including Nike, Gap, Coca-Cola, Heineken, Volkswagen, and MTV. Daniel is frequently called on by national and trade press for insights into mobile marketing and a regular contributor and evangelist at global industry conferences—from Cannes Lions to Mobile World Congress. Under his leadership, AKQA received more than 50 industry awards for it’s mobile work from world renowned bodies such as D&AD, Cannes Lions, and he personally has received a number of global peer accolades such as ‘Top 10 Mobi Thinker’ and is a current one of ‘The Drum top 50 Mobile influencers’. Daniel is Chairman of the EMEA Board of the Mobile Marketing Association and sits on the IDM’s Digital Council.
