Benefit Sharing Options for Renewable Energy Projects

    November 26th, 2019

    About the Event

The Clean Energy Council is holding an interactive half-day seminar for renewable energy proponents and owners/operators about best practice and emerging approaches to benefit sharing.

The Clean Energy Council, with support from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency, has just released a new Guide to Benefit Sharing Options for Renewable Energy Projects.

The guide outlines key principles for effective benefit sharing and a wide range of options for ways that large-scale projects can amplify their positive impact in their local communities.

This interactive seminar, hosted by the authors of the guide, Taryn Lane and Jarra Hicks, will provide an overview of principles for best-practice benefit sharing, and feature deep dives from industry experts into a number of best practice case studies.

    • Andrew Dickson, Project Manager, CWP Renewables and Ross Laidlaw, Executive Director at Domacom – Australia’s first large-scale project to be opened up for public community investment
    • Justin Coburn, Community and Stakeholder Engagement Manager, Beon Energy Solutions – Maximising local training and employment outcomes at Karadoc Solar Farm
