CHICAGO Leadership Development Meeting
Reinvigorate your Recruiting, Hiring, and Leadership Development Activities
The ability to attract, retain and develop teachers, principals, and central office leaders has never been more challenging. With teachers leaving the profession at greater rates than ever before, the scarcity of qualified candidates for hard-to-fill positions, and the difficulty of recruiting diverse populations, district leaders must dramatically rethink their approach to human capital management to achieve equity and excellence for all students.
At this year’s Leadership Development Meeting, we’ll explore the role human capital plays in responding to the myriad challenges facing public school districts and discuss the need to transform HR from an administrative center to a strategic agent of change. We will introduce a framework that leaders can utilize to effectively recruit and train teachers to meet the changing needs in today’s schools, and we’ll explore strategies for developing high-potential leaders for building and district leadership positions.
