    2019 Oncology Update: A Symposium for Primary Care Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers

    Conference Overview

    This half day symposium will serve as an update on a range of cancer care topics including screening guidelines for commonly treated cancers; evaluating individual cancer genetic risk and procedure for genetic testing; survivorship goals for cancer patients treated with a multi-disciplinary approach and updates in oncology.

    Learning Objectives

    • List the recommended guidelines for screening patients for breast, colon, prostate and lung cancer.
    • Recognize common cancer survivorship issues, including coping with risk of recurrence, chronic side effects of treatment, chronic pain.
    • Identify the indicators and management of common toxicities related to cancer immunotherapy and targeted therapy.
    • Determine how to effectively manage cancer survivors diet, exercise and stress along with improved collective care among personal oncology team
