    PANEL 2

    Climate Applications at Scale:

Unlocking Opportunities through the Climate Network Effect

    Abstract

In times of climate change, near real-time and quantitative assessments of climate risks and adaptation strategies are creating new opportunities for growth beyond existing key business imperatives. With the availability of remote sensing and climate projections, and in combination with AI models, we have the tools available to make climate applications at scale a reality. However, current approaches are too reactive and companies need to adopt a data-driven approach to climate adaptation.

On this panel, we will discuss current applications and the potential of the Climate Network to overcome current limitations to run them at scale. Further, panelists will reflect on how their organization would contribute and consume services to enable and take advantage of the Climate Network Effect.
