The heart of the mission for the Justice Department is right there in its name. The sprawling department is charged with the enforcement of federal laws and the administration of justice across the United States. It carries out this mission through a group of agencies and bureaus – the FBI, the U.S. Marshals Service, the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

To manage this mission and ensure its effectiveness takes IT and plenty of it. Justice spends more than $2 billion annually on IT and technology related products and services, including professional services, program management, and application development.
