Temple Teacher Residency (TTR) offers (STEM), Spanish and anyone with a bachelors who is interested in a SPED major the opportunity to build on and share their experiences and knowledge through an accelerated 1-year master’s program. Resident teachers receive a salary of $38,611 and a $7500 tuition award. Residents collaboratively teach with an experienced mentor for a full academic year in a Philadelphia middle or high school classroom. The program leads to the following: 

(1) An MEd in Middle Grades Education, Secondary Education, or Special Education from Temple University 

(2) The completion of the necessary coursework and field work to apply for a Pennsylvania teacher certification in grades 4-8 or 7-12 in science and/or mathematics, World Languages, or Special Education
