Question: Can I bring my roomie who isn't/wasn't a corps member? |
Answer: Yes! This event is open to Teach for America corps members, alumni, and staff, as well as educators, community members and partners beyond the organization. |
Question: Even if they aren't a self-identified member of the LGBTQ+ community? |
Answer: Absolutely. Teach For America Brave Education Summits welcome self-identified LGBTQ+ folks and their allies. |
Question: What's included in my registration amount? |
Answer: The registration fee covers the cost of all sessions and social events attended during the summit, appetizers on Friday night, and lunch on Saturday. If you are staying at the Host Hotel, there is a breakfast buffet available on both Saturday and Sunday, but plan to cover your Saturday night dinner as well as meals on travel days. |
Question: What should I bring with me during sessions? |
Answer: Notetaking devices, water bottle, and any other personal items you might need. While most sessions should be accessible without the use of technology, we strongly encourage you to bring a laptop or tablet if possible. |
Question: How should I dress? |
Answer: We like to say "come as you are!" Snappy casual or business casual wear (that includes jeans) is encouraged, as well as a jacket since room temperatures vary. |
