*** LATISM'16 Conference Team Member!*** Emily Pascual has over four years of experience ranging from work in nonprofits, legal institutions, and corporate management. Emily earned a Joint Bachelor's of Arts in Human Rights and Political Science, with a concentration in Global and International Studies from Bard College in New York. She has experience assistant producing radio shows with WNYC and NPR's Human Rights Radio. She has experience in human resources and event planning coordination, and volunteering with the Digital Media Team for International Center For Transitional Justice (ICTJ) . With a human rights and advocacy focus, Emily previously worked with UN Women to evaluate Latin American and African civil society grant proposals for the Fund for Gender Equality (FGE). Emily worked for political strategy and consulting firm, CGK Partners, The Movement Group. Emily has held legal public service internships with the New York State Attorney General’s Office, New York State District Attorney’s Office and the Legal Department of a nonpartisan think tank, Demos. Emily has a passion for organizations putting human rights principles into action through social, political, and economic empowerment for underrepresented minorities and women.
