Jonathan Marrero is the Associate Director of Digital Content for the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States. In his role, he is charged with driving NCLR’s digital communications outreach through the strategic and accountable use of digital tools. Prior to joining the NCLR family, Jonathan worked on President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign as the Digital Director of the state of Virginia. There he led the digital department and implemented a digital program focused on the use of digital tools to bridge the gap between online and offline organizing. Jonathan got his start in non-profit work as a field organizer working to engage the Hispanic community in the civic process through voter registration and voter education outreach with Democracia U.S.A. Jonathan is a United States Air Force veteran and has served overseas in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
