About the Event

Directions Magazine, Oracle Corporation, HERE – a Nokia business, and The Eclipse Foundation are collaborating to offer a multi-track event over two and one-half days in Washington, D.C. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The focus is the expanding ecosystem of location intelligence in business and government. Our theme is "Location Analytics and Visual Data Discovery … New Pathways to Business Intelligence". First, on May 19th, educational workshops will be offered by various solution providers offering educational session on geospatial technology applications. Then, on May 20th, we’ll begin with a look at how location intelligent solutions are enabling myriad organizations to deploy location analytics with data visualization and discovery techniques for a clearer picture of the volume and velocity of geospatial data. Also, both HERE and the Eclipse Foundation’s LocationTech Working Group will open their summits with tracks on data products and open source geospatial technology, respectively. And on May 21st, the Oracle Spatial Summit will kick off with additional educational and training sessions. User presentations and the annual awards luncheon will also be held and the day will conclude with a user group session and networking social event.
