Join us for a five-part virtual Lunch and Learn series in honor of Foster Care Awareness Month. Designed to enhance knowledge and foster collaboration, this series will feature experts from key agencies sharing critical insights on government agency processes, resources, and strategies to support foster youth. Whether you're an educator, social service provider, or advocate, each session is aimed at empowering you with the tools and understanding needed to make a meaningful impact in the lives of foster youth. May 1, 2025 by Riverside County Office of Education Discover the array of programs and resources available to support foster youth in Riverside County. This session will provide an overview of Early Childhood Education Foster Bridge, Head Start, Foster Youth Services Coordinating Program, Educational Case Management, and other initiatives that directly impact foster youth success. May 8, 2025 by Department of Public Social Services Gain insight into the child welfare system, including foster care placement, case management, and available support services and resources. Learn how educators and community partners can collaborate with DPSS to ensure stability and academic success for foster students. May 15, 2025 by Probation/ Public Defenders Office This session will provide an overview of how the Public Defender’s Office and Probation work together to support foster youth involved in the juvenile justice system. Attendees will learn about legal rights, advocacy strategies, and available community programs aimed at supporting foster youth.
