Question: Can I bring my roomie who isn't/wasn't a corps member? |
Answer: Yes! This event is open to Teach for America Corps Members, Alumni, and staff, as well as educators, community members and partners beyond the organization. |
Question: Even if they aren't a self-identified member of the LGBTQ+ community? |
Answer: Absolutely. Teach For America Brave Education Summits welcome self-identified LGBTQ+ folks and their allies. |
Question: I want to come, but I have a conflict on one of the summit days. What do I do? |
Answer: We want to include everyone who wants to be here. Please reach out to Claire Becker at claire.becker@teachforamerica.org for specific schedule accommodations. |
Question: What should I bring with me during sessions? |
Answer: Notetaking devices, water bottle, and any other personal items you might need. While most sessions should be accessible without the use of technology, we strongly encourage you to bring a laptop or tablet if possible. |
Question: How should I dress? |
Answer: Please come dressed so that you can comfortably engage with Teach For America corps members, alumni, and community partners. |
Question: What is included in my registration? |
Answer: Your registration includes breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday, as well as snacks and a light dinner on Friday. It also includes transportation to and from sessions outside of the Hyatt, and the great sessions that you will get to partake in! |
Question: How do I register for sessions? |
Answer: You can choose the sessions you would like to attend through the "Agenda" link on this website! This will be available soon! |
Question: I know someone who would be an incredible addition to this summit - how can I recommend them? |
Answer: Share the link to our "Call to Speakers" page, and have them fill out the Google form on that page. We will take over, and get in contact with them. |
