About the Event
The New Ireland Pension and Investment Conference 2020 aims to support Brokers in gaining a fresh perspective, equipping you to better respond to your client’s needs and guide you through these turbulent times.
To maximise your time, whilst minimising eating into your work day, we’re running the Pension and investment Conference as a webcast over two consecutive sessions.

Speakers

Ray is Distribution Director for New Ireland. He has held a number of senior roles over the last 20 years including Managing Director at Towers Watson and Managing Director at Arthur Andersen & KPMG. Ray is a fellow of the Pensions Management institute and a member of the Institute of Directors. He has over 20 years’ experience advising companies on the design, implementation and communication of a wide range of employee benefits.

Niall is Commercial Director for New Ireland. He is a pensions thought leader in Ireland, having served on the Irish Association of Pension Funds (IAPF) council and chaired the Pension Taxation working group. Niall is a former Partner in Mercer and had responsibility for Mercer’s UK & Ireland Consumer business. Prior to that Niall was leader of Mercer’s DC business in Ireland. Niall is a qualified Actuary.

George is Manager, Retirement & Technical Insights with New Ireland. Having worked in Broker and Advisor facing roles for the majority of his 26 years with New Ireland, George is well known to Brokers for offering technical support and help on complex pension queries as well as being the author of our Technical Times publication. A member of IAPF DC Committee and the New Ireland representative on the Insurance Ireland Pensions Technical Forum, George also recently took up the role of lecturer for the LIA Certificate of Retirement Planning Advice (RPA).
Speakers

Thomas is Head of Investment Markets in Bank of Ireland Group. He has a depth of experience in market-facing and change leadership roles having worked in BOIs Markets and Treasury team, where he was Head of Strategy Implementation for Capital Management. He has worked in BOI Group since 2006, having previously worked in Coyle Hamilton Willis (now WTW). He is a qualified actuary.

Andy is head of Investment Sales with New Ireland for the last 14 years and has over 30 years’ experience in the Irish Financial services sector. Prior to Working with New Ireland, Andy spent 6 years in a national role as Investment Development Manager with Bank of Ireland Life and has also worked with Bank of Ireland Private Banking, and Davy Stockbrokers. Andy holds an MSc (Honours) degree in Financial Services from UCD and the Institute of Bankers in Ireland. He is a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) in the Irish market. With over 22 years of experience in Investments Andy is a frequent speaker at industry events, and a regular contributor to investment trade publications on investment issues.

Ben Constable-Maxwell is Head of Sustainable and Impact Investing, leading M&G’s strategy on impact investing as well as covering sustainability issues such as climate change and the circular economy. He has been central to the development of ESG integracation within M&G’s investment processes and has supported the development of ESG solutions for clients across asset classes. Ben plays an active industry role as a member of various sustainable and impact investment initiatives, interacting with companies, policymakers, NGOs and other investors. He is a Trustee at Firefly International youth organisation, which provides educational and mental health support for young people in conflict-affected areas in the Balkans and Middle East. Previous to joining M&G in 2003, Ben spent four years with the Equities team at Invesco Perpetual. Ben has an honours degree in Classics from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

Niall is Head of Broker Growth in New Ireland having joined in 2019 from Zurich Life where he held the national role of Business Development Director for Protection Business. He has a wealth of experience having previously held roles as Regional Sales Director and Broker Consultant with Zurich Life. Niall joined the industry in 1993, starting his career with Cornmarket Financial Services as a Financial Consultant. He is a graduate of Dublin Institute of Technology and Trinity College Dublin and holds a Masters in Financial Services from UCD and CFP®. He is also a past Chairman of the LIA West of Ireland Region.

Kevin is Chief Investment Strategist at Bank of Ireland. An experienced investor and director, Kevin has over 30 years experience in the investment & wealth management industries. He is a regular spokesperson in the media on investment markets and a published author in the field. Kevin has extensive experience in managing multi-manager funds, structured products, private equity, property and alternative investments. He is a Certified Investment Fund Director, a QFA and a Regular member of the CFA institute”.

Patrick is Head of Corporate products for New Ireland. He is responsible for commercial development and maintenance of group pension, group risk and annuity business lines. He brings a blend of actuarial, technology, business process management, outsourcing and regulatory oversight experience across many aspects of the financial services market, and has worked across a variety of roles, both in Ireland and overseas. He has served on the Society of Actuaries practicing certificate committee and chaired the working party on the response to Pensions Authority Consultation on Regulation of Defined Contribution Master Trusts.
