Gabe co-founded PharmacyChecker.com in 2002, which verifies online pharmacies and compares prescription drug prices for consumers. He is responsible for the company’s strategic direction, research and business operations. He is an advocate for prescription drug affordability in America, Internet freedom, and the United Nations. Gabe founded Prescription Justice in 2015, a non-profit organization that brings together doctors, lawyers, public health advocates, and companies dedicated to lowering drug prices in the United States. Gabe is president emeritus of the United Nations Association Brooklyn Chapter. Through his work with the UNA, Gabe was awarded the Molly Bruce Advocacy Award for his efforts in support of the work of the UN. He has testified before Congress on issues relating to access to affordable medicines and Internet freedom, published several op-eds, articles and reports about online pharmacies and personal drug importation, including an op-ed in the New York Times. He is the proud author of a chapter in an anthology about defeating the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA). Mr. Levitt received his Masters in International Relations from American University and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Political Science from Roger Williams University. He lives in Brooklyn with his life partner Rebecca Feldman and their three kids, Casper, Max and Wyatt. They are getting a dog in May.
