With the development of the high-repetition rate ChemRIXS beamline and the demonstration of attosecond pulse pairs, LCLS-II is poised to be a leader in nonlinear soft X-ray spectroscopy in the condensed phase. This Workshop will bring together experimentalists and theorists working to develop nonlinear soft X-ray spectroscopy. The Workshop participants will have a charge to (i) identify specific nonlinear experimental observables and explain their connection to microscopic chemical information and (ii) detail experimental parameters and configurations that will be necessary to realize the experiments. Additionally, based on the workshop, the organizers will prepare a 1-2 page document for LCLS leadership to serve as an experimental and theoretical roadmap for performing soft X-ray nonlinear experiments at ChemRIXS.
Following the invited talks, we will have a panel discussion. We invite everybody to contribute 1-2 slides for a maximum of 5 minutes. Please find in this folder* a slide template for such a contribution. If you cannot participate in the Workshop, please feel free to upload your contribution in the same folder and/or send us your ideas by email (elsa.biasin@pnnl.gov). We will include them in the summary document for the LCLS leadership.
