ABSTRACT

Delivering the right amount of precious crystalline protein suspensions in-sync with X-ray

pulses at room temperature is for many users a must. This is a strength of our drop-on-tape sample

delivery system. So far it was only possible to trigger protein reactions either by light pulses or by

exposure to gas.

Recently, we added the possibility to trigger the reaction by the rapid mixing with any substrate

(which of course needs to be able to enter pores of the crystal packing). In this contribution I want

to give an overview of the system’s capabilities.
