D-19: ARPES Study of Termination-Dependent Surface States in Weyl Semimetal Co3Sn2S2
Robert Prater, University of California, Davis
Abstract:
Co3Sn2S2 is a magnetic Weyl Semimetal characterized by bulk Weyl nodes whose surface projections are connected by surface fermi arcs. Cleaving samples of Co3Sn2S2 along the weak Sn-S bonds achieves surfaces terminated by Sn or S. These terminations show distinct surface electronic structure, including Fermi arcs. This poster presents angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) studies conducted at SSRL beamline 5.2 illuminating the distinct electronic structure of the two terminations.
