In this workshop we will have a closer look at writing proposals for bioscience experiments at LCLS. Next to hosting a Q&A session with members of the LCLS BIO-C proposal review panel, we will have a closer look at a bioscience proposal that was previously awarded beamtime at LCLS. After this workshop, you will have a better idea of how a successful bioscience proposal is structured, maximizing the chances to have your experiment accepted for upcoming beamtimes.
Q&A Panel Members:
- Allen Orville (Diamond Light Source)
- Arwen Pearson (University of Hamburg)
- Marcia Newcomer (Louisiana State University)
- Mark Wilson (University of Nebraska-Lincoln)
We will be discussing the proposal to study time-resolved conformational dynamics of the radiation-sensitive enzyme isocyanide hydratase (ICH), submitted by Henry van den Bedem (SLAC/University of California San Francisco) and Mark Wilson (University of Nebraska-Lincoln). Please download the proposal at the bottom of the workshop agenda before the workshop takes place!
