Laura Williams leads strategy and programming as the City Program Manager at LinkedIn. As part of the Economic Graph vision of the company, Laura works to bring together employers, educators, government agencies and job seekers to better connect local communities and advance their economic opportunity. For the past two years, the LinkedIn City team has been focused on narrowing the middle skills gap in Colorado and Arizona through policy and product initiatives in partnership with the Markle Foundation’s Skillful program, and the Colorado Governor's office. The team launched Training Finder, a new tool to help job seekers in Colorado and Arizona who have a high school diploma and some or no college education find training to land middle-skill jobs in fields such as IT, advanced manufacturing and healthcare. Among other projects, Laura has worked as a field director in the 2004 presidential race and as the Director of Volunteers for Seeds of Compassion a five-day festival with the Dalai Lama.
