The Next 250: The Promise of Pluralism for America's Future
November 15th - 17th, 2026
In this critical moment in our nation’s history, Americans have an opportunity to write the next chapter of our shared story. We are faced with a choice between the poisonous forces of polarization and the promise of pluralism—that distinctly American idea that says, out of many, we can become a new whole. The Next 250: The Promise of Pluralism for America’s Future will gather in the birthplace of American democracy, anchored in our cherished first freedoms—particularly the right to claim and act on our religious identities, and the responsibility to protect that right for others. We will chart the path of pluralism across our history while providing practical skills for institutional leaders to adopt a renewed commitment to civic pluralism for the next 250 years of the American story.
