UNC Adult Learner Convening
About the Event
In partnership with UNC General Administration, university leaders across the state are exploring, researching, and designing strategies and technologies to recruit, retain, and graduate adult learners. This two-day convening will engage teams from North Carolina's 16 public universities to participate in sessions ranging from discussions focused on data specific to North Carolina and the UNC system, technology tools to aid in tracking retention of students, adult learner pedagogy, and alternative degree and curricular offerings. Our goals for this meeting are to raise awareness of the challenges and opportunities surrounding degree completion; share promising practices from across the UNC System and nationally, and share key learnings from work to date; identify, craft, and pilot strategies, collaborations, and ideas to improve recruitment, retention, and degree completion among adult students; and to assist constituent universities in developing targets for adult learner enrollment and graduation rates. We hope to see you there!
