Natural Product Screening for Drug Discovery
Screening libraries of natural products with known biological activity are an important tool in researching treatments for cancer, diabetes, antimicrobial, or antifungal research, as well as in fundamental metabolomics research. In this session, we will discuss the use of natural products databases as a screening tool. Then through a series of short examples, we will demonstrate how the Wiley Identifier of Natural Products (AntiBase), in conjunction with data mining software, can be used and effectively applied in research settings.
