Pathways to Begin: "Want to work in the movies?" In 2018 the Irish Government published an industry-wide Audio-Visual Action Plan to support Ireland’s ambition to become a global hub, producing film, animation, TV drama, while also seeking to double employment in the sector over the term of the plan. In this webinar we will hear from those working in the Audio Visual industry about how Ireland is building on its reputation as a ‘capital of filmmaking’, and a global leader in the Animation sector. Our panellists will discuss the growth in live action production in Ireland in recent years, plans for new film studio space and the regional growth of the Animation industry across Ireland. We will also look the different careers available and what it’s like to work in the industry.
