Clean capping requirements for brownfield land remediation

    Wednesday 31 January 2024

    10am-1pm

    About the webinar

An important part of completing the remediation of brownfield sites is the topsoil and subsoil used to cap the site.  Delivered in association with British Sugar TOPSOIL and Tim O’Hare Associates, this webinar brings together leading experts to discuss the key requirements in:

    • the selection and sampling of appropriate soil sources
    • the assessment of site-won and imported soils
    • soil compaction – problems, causes, avoidance and repair
    • the design, placement and verification of the clean capping layer.

Both are key to successfully clearing NHBC and Local Authority conditions, and knowing how to get it right first time can be important when it comes to having funds released by lenders. You will leave the webinar with great knowledge on the sources of topsoil, pitfalls, sampling and testing and Local Authority requirements.

Please note that this is not a formally accredited session and does not earn you CPD points, however you will receive confirmation of your attendance at this session for your records.
