Dr. Rosemary Thackeray is a professor in the Department of Health Science at Brigham Young University (BYU). Prior to joining the BYU faculty in August 2000, Dr. Thackeray was employed for nine years at the Utah Department of Health, Bureau of Health Education. While on a sabbatical in 2006-2007, Dr. Thackeray worked for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Health Marketing in Atlanta, GA. At BYU Dr. Thackeray teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in evaluation and research methods. She received a baccalaureate degree in health education from Utah State University and earned both a Master of Public Health and Doctor of Philosophy in health promotion and education from the University of Utah. In her spare time Dr. Thackeray enjoys traveling, spending time with family, reading, collecting antique glassware, and eating ice cream.
