Juanita Garcia draws on over 15 years of experience in the construction industry, first in mechanical design for HVAC contractors and most recently in LEED Green Building consulting. Among the first to earn the recognized green building credential, LEED AP BD+C, with a specialization in building design and construction. Juanita is a regular speaker in building information modeling technology for sustainability, LEED materials tracking, and Building Energy Benchmarking. Recognizing a need to track energy, water, and material for LEED and other green building compliance, founded BIM for Better. Juanita volunteers for Project Exploration, a nonprofit with a mission to change the face of science by introducing girls to STEM professionals with hands on workshops.
