Adrian Ow is an Executive Director with Group Risk Management at United Overseas Bank (UOB). With 15 years of capital and balance sheet management experience, he is responsible for delivering sustainable returns on shareholders’ equity by creating capacity for growth, improving capital efficiency and establishing portfolio distribution channels in UOB. Prior to joining UOB, Adrian was Head of Balance Sheet Optimisation in Barclays where he was responsible for optimizing returns on equity and ensuring adequate capital and funding for corporate banking products. Before Barclays, Adrian was a Director with Standard Chartered Bank and was responsible for the global transaction banking capital management strategy, assessing regulatory impacts on capital adequacy and developing strategies to mitigate them. Adrian started his career with Accenture financial services practice in corporate strategy development and leading large scale business transformation programmes. Adrian has a MBA from INSEAD specializing in strategy and finance.
