Denver Igarta leads the Complete Streets Planning Team at the City of Portland’s Bureau of Transportation. His work has focused on a range of transportation policy, street design initiatives and pedestrian, bicycle, transit and freight planning efforts. He served as an author of the Portland Bicycle Plan for 2030 and advisor on recent updates to the city’s pedestrian, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition, freight modal plans. Other prior assignments include serving as the City’s representative on a regional high-capacity transit study and managing the update of Portland’s 20-year Transportation System Plan. He completed his graduate studies at the University of Dortmund, Germany, and the University of the Philippines.
