A: No. Due to our COVID-19 protocols, we are not accepting registrations after August 24th. No onsite registration will be possible.
COVID-19
Q: What if I end up getting COVID-19?
A: We encourage you to stay home or stay in your hotel, and email events@nacto.org to see if you are eligible for a partial refund.
Q: What can I do to stay safe from COVID-19 while at Designing Cities?
A: On top of vaccination and booster requirements, we're asking our attendees to be masked while indoors. You can also try to social distance while eating and drinking.
Transit
Q: How can I get to/from the airport?
A: You can still take the Blue Line from the airport to downtown Boston and transfer to the Green Line heading south at Government Center.
You can also take the Silver Line to Commuter Rail!
Q: What is happening with MBTA shutdowns?
A: The MBTA rail shutdowns include the Orange Line and Green Line (E branch - Union Square branch). More information was shared in a presentation here. The majority of our conference relies on walking and biking around Back Bay and beyond.
Some of our walkshops are heavily impacted, while others need to be modified. Please understand that in a worst-case scenario, we'll have back up activities and programming for you in lieu of a walkshop.
Q: What can I expect on the ground outside of the NACTO conference re: transit shutdowns?
A: You can expect surge pricing on TNCs, limited availability for cabs/TNCs, limited availability for rental cars, and parking impacts. Above and beyond, you should expect it to take longer to get anywhere. Please build flexibility into your schedules for all modes of travel.
Q: Will there be bike parking at the event?
A: We will have at least four bike corrals in front of the Hynes
