Jamie Martin is the son of a teacher and a social worker. He has over a decade of experience advising governments and businesses on education across the world, including as Special Adviser to the UK Secretary of State for Education and a management consultant in the UK and Middle East. He is now founding Africa's first education technology incubator in South Africa, which will give funding and support to social entrepreneurs and teachers from across Africa aiming to use technology to raise standards in education. Jamie Martin was an adviser to Secretary of State for Education Michael Gove while he developed then implemented a radical overhaul of England’s school system. He was also a management consultant focused on education at Boston Consulting Group (London and Dubai) and Deloitte. He has acted as an adviser to clients on education and Africa strategy, working on projects focused on the UK, Middle East, USA, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.
