Attire and Weather
Attire for the event is snappy casual, dressier than basic jeans and a tee, but not as dressy as a suit and tie. Also, feel free to bring your favorite TFA swag to wear.
For those coming from out of town, weather can vary greatly in Indianapolis. You will want to check the weather report as you prepare and be sure to pack a light sweater or jacket since temperatures can vary in meeting spaces. Rain may be in the forecast, come prepared!
Transportation around Indianapolis
There are many ways to find your way around Indy – from ride-sharing to car-sharing to bike-sharing – we encourage you to use whatever mode works for you!
We encourage you to utilize ride-sharing services or a designated driver if you choose to drink.
Parking
Parking at the Hyatt Regency is convenient, but fairly expensive. If the weather is fair and you enjoy walking, the Circle City Center parking garage is very close and a bit more affordable. We also encourage you to carpool! Information about both is listed below. Please note the garage closing times if you’re planning to stay past the close of the event.
Hyatt Regency Indianapolis: Self-Parking Underground (does not include in/out privileges) entrance on Maryland St.
Circle City Center – World Wonders Garage: entrance at 100 Illinois St., ½ block from hotel; open Saturday 8am – 2am
Special Notes
Please note that we cannot accommodate a space for children during the day. Please make other arrangements.
We will have a space for nursing mothers. If you have a need for this space, please let us know when you arrive.
For Out of Town Guests
Hotel Notes
If you’re staying at the Hyatt, please check in with the reception desk when you arrive. Upon check in, you’ll receive one breakfast voucher to use either Saturday or Sunday morning at Fat Rooster, a restaurant on the first floor of the Hyatt. You’ll be asked to provide a credit card for any incidental charges, and you’ll be responsible for any charges incurred during your stay. We will be fully covering room and tax charges. Please find your roommate information here.
The Hyatt has several restaurants, a fitness center, pool, and complimentary WiFi. There are also many activities around the hotel for those staying throughout the weekend. Check out some options below!
Action Items
For those traveling in from out-of-town, we are happy to reimburse your travel (mileage or airfare) up to $175. In order for us to do so, please save your receipt(s), map of your route (for mileage), boarding passes (for flights), complete the non-staff reimbursement and W9 forms, and send to Lakisha Crawford by April 20th. Please note that we cannot reimburse travel costs for any of your non-TFA guests, including family members or friends.
