Wendy became inspired to help women and girls in developing countries through her volunteer work with Ten Thousand Villages. She has been a store volunteer for a number of years and is currently Vice Chair and Marketing Chair for Ten Thousand Villages in Greenville. It was through this work that she first became aware of Dining for Women. “I felt it was a natural extension of what I was already doing with Ten Thousand Villages and, once I attended my first chapter meeting, I was hooked. I love the connections I have made with my fellow chapter members and find my involvement as a chapter member, leader and now a staff member extremely fulfilling.” Wendy is co-leader of the Greenville-1 chapter and joined the DFW staff in April 2014. Professionally, she has more than 20 years of experience in the areas of communications, marketing and development, having worked in both corporate and non-profit settings and as an independent consultant. Wendy is originally from Canada and, in 2007, moved to Greenville, where she lives with her two children, Julia and Joshua.
