Steve Ma is the Senior Partner at Accelerate Change where he works with non-profits to dramatically increase their member engagement, political power, and earned revenue. Steve also serves on the Board of Directors for the Sierra Club, the nation's largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization. In May 2015, the Stanford Social Innovation Review included Steve's feature article on how the social sector can improve its impact by employing proven strategies for innovation and rapid experimentation. Steve was also the Executive Producer of Fly By Light, an award-winning documentary which highlights the magic that happens when young people are given the love, support, and skills needed to transform themselves and their communities. Previously, Steve founded and directed a successful social enterprise called Live Green, helped to pass some of the nation's toughest consumer protection laws with AARP, and co-coordinated a national petition drive that generated 1,200,000 signatures in defense of the country's most important environmental laws. In 2001, Steve literally walked 1,523 miles in an effort to reduce big money's influence in the political process. AsianWeek named Steve their Asian-American of the Year in recognition of his walk and his efforts sparked the passage of a "clean" elections law.
