CeCe Cheng is Director of Strategic Partnerships at Andela, the premier technical leadership program on the African continent that provides companies around the world with access to the top 1% of tech talent. Before joining Andela, CeCe was a venture capitalist at First Round Capital where she built and ran the first venture fund focused on supporting student entrepreneurs, Dorm Room Fund. CeCe launched and managed Dorm Room Fund investments teams across 15 universities and 4 cities, advising investment decisions and portfolio company CEOs. Prior to First Round, she was the first business hire at rich media startup Qwiki which was acquired by Yahoo! in 2013. In addition to venture and technology startups, CeCe has a background in public relations and public policy. CeCe was listed in Forbes 30 Under 30 for Venture Capital and serves as an advisor to Harvard Ventures and the Daily News Innovation Lab. Her work has been highlighted in Forbes, Fox News, Fast Company, TechCrunch and New York Times. CeCe received her B.A. from Princeton University where she studied Politics and French. She was born in Shanghai and lives in San Francisco.
