Marnee Buckles has been an educator and behaviour specialist for over 20 years. She is the founder of Behaviour Strats, which offers consultations for agencies, parents and teachers and was created to serve First Nations schools and build capacity within the system. The approach is hands on, incorporating cultural beliefs and values such as the Anishnaabe Seven Grandfather teachings, and including community support when available. Behaviour Strats offers culturally responsive interventions to meet the needs of students and to achieve student success. Marnee's expertise includes behaviour management consultations along with both workshops and training in behaviour de-escalation strategies. Her work promotes advocacy for children as well as their families. Behaviours she works with include children with diagnoses such as ADHD, ASD, ODD, OCD, social-emotional concerns, learning disabilities and those without identifications/assessments. She offers in class support for educators and prepares strategy summaries for staff and administration.
