Sarah Johnson is from North Caribou Lake First Nation. Her lifelong passion in Anishininiimowin comes from her Elders who raised her at three months old. She speaks and writes in her Oji-Cree language. Sarah has been working in the educational field since the late 70's. She has experience teaching in kindergarten to University level. Sarah has visited most schools in the Sioux Lookout region as a researcher, teacher, and as a curriculum developer. Sarah combines Native language and culture in her teachings with students. Most of the teaching she shares with students is based from land-based learning she learned growing up on northwestern Ontario.
