Ruth Ann Fay is a seasoned educator with a wealth of experience in providing support for people of all abilities. By nature, Ruth Ann is a born helper with a strong desire to enable people to be their very best. Her passion for this work was sparked at a young age, where she worked at a camp with individuals who had special needs and shared her appreciation for the wilderness. Inspired to continue her education in her passions, Ruth Ann found ways to pursue both her love of the outdoors and helping others. This ultimately sent her to Fanshawe College, where she became a Developmental Services Worker, and then to Lakehead University, where she completed an honours degree in Outdoor Recreation, Parks and Tourism as well as a Bachelor's in Education. Her career in education began with a position at Mine Centre Public School and continued at Lakehead Public Schools, where she has worked as an SSP, Classroom Teacher, Special Education facilitator and where she is currently working as the Learning Supports Resource Teacher. When she is not at work, Ruth Ann can be found hiking trails with her husband and two boys and their dog, Chester.
