3rd NY Energy REVolution Summit
August 1 - 25, 2017
NY REV Implementation Begins - Learn how to Capture a piece of the New York Clean Energy Market!
About the Event
2016 has been characterized as one devoted to advancing the regulatory policies that will form the underpinnings of both the New York REV and the new Clean Energy Standard. The focus for 2017 is squarely on implementation: with the DSIP, value of D, roll out of CES procurement plans and ratemaking orders expected over the next few months, the New York market is poised to jump forward. However, such a market transformation can only be sustained if a delicate balance is established between market participants that retains utility shareholder value while creating economic returns for investments in DERs and renewable energy projects, and enables the reliable operation of transactive energy markets. The 3rd NY Energy REVolution Summit, set for August 1-3, 2017, will bring together utility, distributed energy resource (DER) providers, renewable energy, storage and other stakeholders to discuss how to create development processes that are workable and projects that are viable. Leading policy makers and energy industry executives will discuss: – The new tariff mechanisms and their role in defining value stacks for DERs – How to best create and convey locational values in distribution planning and operations – Creating a roadmap for dual participation in retail and wholesale markets – Integration of storage and other distributed assets – How to best determine DERMs needs and procure systems and technologies – The best way to roll out the large CES procurements of offshore wind, community energy and other renewables – Major revisions to interconnection processes The Briefing, New York Clean Energy Standard – Opportunities and Challenges, will bring policy-makers together with utility, wind, solar, microgrid and other executives to provide the latest information on the opportunities and challenges in New York, and discuss potential strategies for the future.
