Dr. Jay Bhatt is Managing Deputy Commissioner, Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer at the Chicago Department of Public Health and an Internist. Most recently he completed an internal medicine residency at Cambridge Health Alliance, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School where he was a clinical fellow. In 2012 Dr. Bhatt was a Senior Fellow with NEHI, a health policy Institute in Cambridge, MA focusing on innovation and strengthening primary care. In 2006-07 he served as the National President of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA). Dr. Bhatt led the development of the AMSA PharmFree Scorecard in 2007 helping change the culture of conflict of interest in academic medical centers. He graduated from the University of Chicago in 1999 and Harvard Kennedy School in 2012 as a Zuckerman Fellow. He is interested in how predictive analytics can transform health.
