Welcome to Prosper 2024! In just a few weeks we'll be together again to celebrate 40 years of dreaming, invention, and innovation! Whether you're a first-time attendee or a seasoned Prosper pro, we wanted to share additional details to help you better plan your trip. If you have any questions after reading the guide, please don't hesitate to reach out to prosper@bakerhill.com for additional info.
Prosper Event App
Be sure to download the Prosper event app ahead of the conference. With the app, you can favorite/star sessions of interest, view other attendees, network and plan meetings, and provide feedback via surveys. All pertinent event information will live here, and we will push notifications through the app during the event. If you have any issues with the app, we will be available to troubleshoot with you onsite on Sunday during registration hours.
Agenda Overview
Sunday
We can't wait to see you! Registration is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. We will be in the Newport Lobby outside of our event space. If you cannot make it to registration during Sunday's hours, we'll also have check-in open during breakfast on Monday.
The User Community meeting will take place in the Newport Ballroom from 1 - 3 p.m. Be sure to attend to learn more about recent updates, meet your User Board candidates, and attend the ever-popular Birds-of-a-Feather discussions. Please note, if you plan on registering ahead of the User Community meeting, give yourself a little extra time as we can get busy right before the meeting kicks off.
We're doing the solutions showcase differently for 2024! If you see a Baker Hill staff member with an Expert ribbon, ask away! We'll have a conference room with demo stations - but meetings will be by arrangement. Ask A NextGen Expert will be available the entirety of the conference - reach out to an Expert or work with your account executive to grab time with our subject matter experts.
On Sunday evening, help us kick off the conference in style at a yacht rockin' Baker Hill 40th birthday bash! Join us at Shipwreck Beach for dinner and live music. Suggested attire is resort. Event begins at 7pm!
Monday
We're excited to kick off day one with our opening keynote, Jim Perry. Jim is a Top 100 Fintech Influencer and has a deep focus on community banks and credit unions. Jim is a leader in modern banking that every community financial institution should know.
After our opening session, we'll head into breakouts. You don't need to register to attend a session ahead of time, but we do encourage you to check out the agenda and 'star' sessions that you have interest in.
We'll spend Monday afternoon at Epcot for our networking activity. Whether you’re a thrill seeker, shopper, explorer, or just want to drink around the World, Epcot has a little bit of something for everyone. Wear your comfy shoes and explore the park with your peers.
On Monday night, we'll meet back up at 7p.m. at the American Experience Pavilion in the Epcot World Showcase for a seated dinner in the beautiful rotunda. After dinner, we will walk over to Italy's Isola Plaza as a group and enjoy a dessert party under the stars. We'll end the evening with a bang with front-row seats to Epcot’s new fireworks show “Luminous, The Symphony of Us".
Tuesday
We've got a jam-packed schedule! Sessions are in full swing - there are plenty of great informational breakouts to choose from. After a final day of learning, we’ll end the conference on a high note with returning closing speaker Lindsay Boccardo. Lindsay was a hit at Prosper 2022 and we love her uplifting, positive outlook. Parting is such sweet sorrow, but we'll have an exciting announcement for Prosper 2025 before you go…
Attire
The average high in Orlando in April is 84° (average low is 63°), and April showers can happen in a blink in Florida - with this in mind, plan accordingly for our evening and networking events!
Conference - The attire during the conference's breakout sessions is business casual. Please consider bringing a jacket or cardigan as resort air conditioning can be notoriously chilly.
Sunday Evening - Our Sunday kickoff event is resort casual and on a real sand beach.
Monday Networking - We'll be visiting Epcot on Monday, and it can get HOT in the Florida sun. We suggest casual attire for networking - shorts, t-shirts, (we'll be providing a fun Baker Hill t-shirt you can wear if you'd like!), comfortable footwear, and sun protection are a must.
It can be rainy in Florida, so plan on packing a poncho or umbrella just in case. To be more environmentally friendly, we suggest bringing a refillable water bottle to the park. You can fill it up for free at most concession booths, or there are water bottle filling stations at many rest areas. You'll also want sunblock! Our #1 tip - wear comfy, supportive shoes that you can walk a few miles in without getting blisters! This is not the day to break in your new shoes. We suggest wool socks for blister and sweat protection, supportive athletic footwear, or hiking sandals.
Monday Evening - After a long afternoon in the park, plan on a little time post-networking to get cleaned up for dinner between 6-7 p.m. Our evening attire is smart business casual/casual cocktail. You'll still want stylish-but-comfy shoes as it is a short walk back to Epcot for dinner.
Resort
The conference will be held at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resort. Please be aware that check-in begins at Walt Disney World resorts at 3 p.m. ET. This does not guarantee that your room will be ready at 3 p.m. We have tried to work with resort staff to ensure your rooms are ready as quickly as possible. If your reservation is in the My Disney Experience app, you can use the app to indicate when you plan on arriving so that if a room becomes available, you may be able to check in early.
Disney Information
My Disney Experience - Since we'll be enjoying three days of networking and learning at Walt Disney World, we strongly suggest you download the My Disney Experience app on your smartphone. You'll need this app to navigate the resort and park experience. You can find more information on how to use the app here, but it can be helpful for arranging any dining reservations outside of the conference or checking wait time for rides.
Dining Reservations - If you have dining plans outside of the conference or have extended your trip, you will need to use the My Disney Experience app to make restaurant reservations as soon as possible. Restaurants become available to book roughly 60 days out from your hotel reservation date. If you are unable to make a reservation at a restaurant of your choice, continue to check the app as cancellations happen regularly. Some locations also have walk-up waits, but they can be more than an hour long. Use My Disney Experience to learn more about dining opportunities at Walt Disney World.
Park Reservations - You are able to book additional park days at our corporate ticket rate if you so choose.
If you have tickets for additional days outside of Monday's networking (or if you have guests who have park tickets) - you will need to use the My Disney Experience app to make park reservations as soon as possible. Without the reservations, you may not be able to attend the park of your choice on a given day. For Monday's network event at Epcot, you will NOT need to make a park reservation. We have taken care of that for you.
