Optional Labs (Veterinarians Only)
*Note: If registering for a lab, please register for all tickets at the same time (attendee ticket + lab ticket).
When selecting a Veterinarian ticket, you will have an option to add either of the labs below. Please note that space is limited for each lab.
POCUS Lab:
This hands-on laboratory will introduce attendees to how handheld, affordable ultrasound units can add an accessible diagnostic modality to their shelter and community clinics. The focus of POCUS will be on AFAST and basic abdominal scans. Only open to veterinarians. This lab will involve live animals so please have scrubs and closed toed shoes.
Forensics Lab:
Performing a forensic necropsy can feel intimidating, even overwhelming, to the shelter or community medicine practitioner. This wet lab will review the core approach to forensic necropsy techniques and empower veterinarians to practice their skills with expert guidance and resources. Only open to veterinarians. Please dress in scrubs or other garments you can change after leaving the lab.
