April 30th, 2021 FOWLER GLOBAL SOCIAL INNOVATION CHALLENGE
About the Fowler GSIC
Welcome to the second edition of the Fowler Global Social Innovation Challenge (Fowler GSIC) at St. Thomas!
The Fowler GSIC is a multi-round social venture competition that invites students to engage with one or more of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals by developing an innovation that responds to an environmental or social problem. To date, more than $500,000 in seed funding has been awarded to winning teams. In the preliminary online rounds, which take place across campuses worldwide, student teams identify a social or environmental problem of their choice then propose an innovative solution to their chosen problem. In the St.Thomas Finals round, shortlisted teams present a live pitch of their innovation to a panel of judges for the chance to win their share of $10,000 in seed funding and be among the top 2 teams to represent the university at the annual Global Finals event.
The Schulze School of Entrepreneurship is especially honored to host the 2021 Global Finals this June. Connected by our passion for social business, 30 universities from 16 countries will convene virtually to push boundaries, build bonds and inspire change.
Which two teams will be chosen to represent St. Thomas at this year’s Global Finals? Join us to find out. We can’t wait to see you!
